Canyon Lake Level Rises, Another Boat Ramp Opened
(Canyon Lake, TX) -- The recent rains have increased the water levels at Canyon Lake, enough to where the boat ramp at Village West is now open. The most recent reading of the lake shows that Canyon Lake’s level is at 899.01 feet, still less than 10 feet of its usual 909 foot level but well above the some of the record lows seen during the drought this past summer. In addition to Ramp #2 now open at Village West, the Comal County Engineer’s Office says that as of this week, there are two other ramps open to the public: Ramp 1 at Canyon Lake Village and Ramp 6 at Canyon Lake Hills. That still leaves 6 of the public ramps closed, including the ramps at Canyon Lake Shores and Canyon Lake Hills at Astro Hills, which won’t open until the lake level rises to over 904 feet, and the ramp at Mystic Shores, which won’t open until the lake level rises to over 905 feet.
