(New Braunfels, TX) -- New Braunfels Police are on the lookout for a driver involved in a hit and run accident this past Thursday night. A little after 7 PM Thursday New Braunfels EMS, Fire and Police officers were called out to the 2200 block of FM 725 at County Line Road for reports of a two vehicle accident. When they arrived on scene, they discovered only one of the cars (a Nissan Cube) was there. The driver of the vehicle, who was uninjured in the accident, said that a pick-up truck had rear-ended him and then the driver and passenger of the truck got out of the vehicle and fled off on foot. New Braunfels Police were able to track down the passenger, 48-year-old Edward Medina, and arrested him for public intoxication. The driver got away but officers have a good idea who he is and are attempting to track him down. The southbound lanes of FM 725 were closed for about an hour until crews cleared the scene shortly after 8 PM.
