NBU Reaches Safety Milestone

(New Braunfels, TX) -- NBU employees have achieved a major safety goal: going 365 days without any lost time due to work related injuries, a goal that was attained earlier this month. NBU CEO Paula DiFonzo tells KGNB that the milestone required the commitment and focus of every employee and is solid proof of the company’s collective effort to maintain the highest safety standards. There were only five recordable injuries throughout all of 2011 and none since June. There were as many as 16 such injuries in 2008, 9 recordable injuries in 2010. NBU officials state that they are always looking to make improvements to their safety practices, and their ultimate goal is to have zero recordable injuries.
