San Marcos Father Wanted for Abducting Daughter to Mexico
(San Marcos, TX) -- The San Marcos Police Department is investigating the disappearance of a 2-year old girl who is believed to be with her father in Mexico. Back on Jan. 15th, 45-year old Armando Munoz Garcia picked up his 2-year old daughter Sarahi Garcia from his ex-wife in the parking lot of a San Marcos Church off Hwy 123. Police officials say that Garcia then called the mother 3 days later to say he was in Mexico and that he had no intentions of returning their daughter to her mother, in direct violation of a child custody order from Caldwell County. Investigators have since obtained a warrant for Garcia's arrest on charges of interference with child custody (which is a state jail felony), and he has been entered into the national law enforcement database of the National Crime Information Center. Anyone with information on the child's location is asked to contact the San Marcos Crimestoppers Unit at 1-800-324-TIPS.
