Third Earthquake in Five Months Felt in Karnes County
(Karnes County, TX) -- Another earthquake apparently struck Karnes County over this past weekend. The Express News reports that a magnitude 3.0 earthquake shook Karnes County around 7am Saturday morning. The US Geological Survey says the quake's epicenter was in Falls City, about 45 miles southeast of San Antonio and about 7 miles northwest of Karnes City. This now makes 3 recent earthquakes in that area, with a 3.3 magnitude quake recorded in November and a record-breaking 4.8-magnitude earthquake in October. No injuries or damages were reported in Saturday’s quake.
