(Guadalupe County, TX) -- 'Can the Ban' spokesperson and local businessman Leonidas "Mark" McGonigal turned himself in to Guadalupe County authorities yesterday morning.

An arrest warrant for McGonigal had been pending since late last week following an indictment by a Guadalupe County Grand Jury on a 3rd degree felony charge of Aggravated Perjury. McGonigal, whose legal name is Leonidas McGonigal (following a legal name change from Mark Jason Moore), is accused of lying on the documents he signed as part of his effort to legally change his name, and an arrest warrant has been pending out of Guadalupe County since his indictment in early February.

A little before 9am McGonigal turned himself in at the Guadalupe County Jail, was booked on that felony charge, and was then released after posting a 10-thousand dollar bond.

Aggravated Perjury is a 3rd degree felony, punishable if convicted by 2 to 10 years in prison. Remember, an indictment is not a finding of guilt, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
